Dear Friends,
There is very little news from here and our thoughts are now all occupied with the Congress, the preparations for which seem to be going forward very satisfactorily. The courses of lectures here finished this week and have been an unqualified success. We shall certainly continue with them from now on. Unfortunately there is no good news from the side of the Press, though I am working hard to persuade various publishers to function. It is a situation we must discuss when we meet.
Vienna. Dr Herford seems to have arranged with Sándor, her former analyst, to undertake the translation of the »Entwicklungsziele« to be submitted to the Verlag. She asks me (l. Otto) to say a word in her recommendation. I have seen something of her previous translations and can say that they are quite adequate, though, of course, not so first-class as Mrs Rivière's or Strachey's. If you decide to use her translation, I should be glad to revise it if you wish.
Presumably this will be the last Rundbrief before we meet unless anything urgent happens in the meantime. I conclude, therefore, with the strongest wishes that our meeting will be in every way successful and pleasureable.
Yours,
Ernest.
