«The principle of all things likes to hide itself».
The idea of truth is enigmatic, and I would like to define its area in an indirect fashion, with the help of a singular mythical representation: «the Plain of Aletheia»:
«The worlds are disposed to form a triangle. The triangle's internal surface is the worlds'; common hearth and is named the plain of Aletheia. There lie principles, forms and models of all that was and shall be. There lies eternity from which time departs towards the worlds like a wave.
The true reason for which minds are so anxious to discover the whereabouts of the Plain of Aletheia is that, there, in that green valley, is the pasture congenial to the soul's best part, and that this is the food for the nature of the fine feathers to which souls owe their lightness.
Any soul beholding truth is safe and sound, while any soul which has not seen anything or has fed from the Plain of Lethe, being victim of deceit, shall be taken again into the wheel of births».
The plain of Lethe lies in front of the plain of Aletheia, completing the mythical landscape by antithesis and by complementarity. Knowledge moves between the contradictory extremes of «lethe» and «aletheia», between the act of forgetting and the act of anamnesis.
