The psychoanalyst is always in-between the suppleness of the art and the rigour of science. The changes in the psychoanalytical movement, or during the analysis, and also in the psychopathological configurations have impacts also on the analyst's limits, on the theoretical, technical and ethical limits of the setting. The author challenges us to reconsider the nature of the changes and of the limits of the analyst and those of psychoanalysis, but also to reflect on the evolution of the ‘clinical thinking’, as André Green wrote.
