This essay looks at the impact of colonization, advanced capitalism, and globalization on queer subjectivities. By staking a claim to the queerness embodied by precolonial India, the author attempts to look at her familial and community relationships to find echoes of this forgotten history. Through communicating the urgency of contextualizing and reclaiming histories, she asks the audience to join in with her grief and play.
