Edging/Pending (Sex & Death)

Pseudonym of a clinical psychologist born and raised on unceded Indigenous land in a red state in the United States. After moving around the country, they now live and work (in trans health) in a blue state and are writing/co-editing anonymously with ambivalence (about that anonymity). Despite everything, they still find this work incredible and unmistakably a privilege. In their psychoanalytic musings, they like to imagine how Winnicott might have felt about his unexpected status as a (cis) trans icon. Outside of work, they’re often killing joy* and being ridiculous with friends, playing music and make-believe with family, and vanishing with unconflicted pleasure into fictional worlds of their own and others’ making.
