At the termination of Vol. 4/1981, Bo Larsson expressed the wish to retire from the Editorial Committee. The Editorial Committee regretfully had to accept his resignation, but at the same time notes with pleasure that Bo Larsson has promised to be at hand as adviser. It should be borne in mind that it was Bo Larsson who at the 5th Nordic Psychoanalytic Congress in August 1976 took the initiative of launching The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review. Without Bo Larsson's imagination and unflagging energy, we would never have overcome all the many and quite unforeseen obstacles that turn up in connection with the start of a new journal. The Editorial Committee as well as the Nordic Cooperation Committee owe a great debt of gratitude to Bo Larsson.
We have received financial support for the publication of Vol. 4/1981 from the NAVF (Norwegian General Scientific Research Board), the Board of Medical Research and Social Science.
Vol. 5/1982 is published with financial support from The Joint Committee of the Nordic Social Science Research Councils.
