In recent years, the Danish Psychoanalytic Society has experienced steady growth. At the general assembly in September, we were able to elect two new members.
In the Spring we terminated a triannual theoretical training program for nine candidates, and in September a similar training program for another nine candidates was commenced. With the present accession to training analysis, we contemplate starting a new program in 1984.

Colin James, M.D., London, presented a case in February. At the end of the same month, the IPA President, Professor Edward Joseph, was our guest, and in connection with this he read a paper entitled: “Contributions of Psychoanalysis to Psychiatry”. In March Professor Frederick Wyatt, Freiburg, Germany, read a paper on “A Difficult Case and Some of Its dimensions”. In the afternoon, before a meeting of the members of The Danish Psychoanalytic Society, Professor Wyatt held a seminar for our candidates. Janine Chassequet-Smirgel, Paris, visited us in April and
in addition to a seminar held for our candidates, she also read a paper entitled: “The Loss of Reality in Perv
