It has been the scientific subcommittee's ambition to evaluate and fill the need for scientific meetings in accordance with the resources available to
the Society. Time-wise we wished to offer programs twice a month; content-wise, we have followed our aim of combining the active participation of members of the Society with staying close to the everyday work of psychoanalysis, which is reflected in more than half of the presentations. To a certain degree, we also wanted to present to the members parts of what is available to the candidates as part of their training. It has been extremely gratifying that many members have actively offered to present their thoughts and work. In contrast to the difficulties in finding speakers among the members a decade ago, today it is possible to choose among many motivated members. The number of members and candidates who participate in the meetings is also rather high. We have cooperated with the Swedish Society for Holistic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis by inviting them to participate in a scientific meeting at which one of their members gave a lecture.
The program of the scientific meetings has been as follows.
January 17 | Laos Szekely: “Linné-Freud and a remarkable convergence”. |
February 10 | Ludvig Igra: “The negative therapeutic reaction and action, and the destructive part of the personality”. |
March 7 | Robert Langs: “Unconscious communication - a new model of the mind”. |
April 14 |
