As was the case in the preceding year, the subcommittee in 1987 has been able to realize the ambition of filling the needs of the Society, and using its resources for scientific work. It is very gratifying that many members have wanted to present their work, their ideas and thoughts. This has made it possible to arrange two scientific meetings a month. Also, this has entailed getting to know how the members of our Society think, work, and how their psychoanalytic competence is used and developed. Discussions have been open—engaged and engaging—which has contributed to making my job as moderator of most of the meetings, and our task and work as a subcommittee, enjoyable and rewarding.
