With this issue, Dr. Lis Lind leaves the editorial board of The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review. She joined the board in 1988, took over as editor-in-chief following Dr. Henning Paikin the year after, and served in that position for four years. This past year, beside the regular duties as a member of the board, she has given support and advice to the new editor-in-chief.
Now it is my pleasure to express the gratitude of the Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Societies to Lis Lind for her excellent work. She has combined high standards of quality with a broad mind. She has thus widened the scope of the journal and accepted contributions from non-psychoanalytic scholars, as in the issue on Ibsen and Freud. This has been done without changing the original stand of the journal: a steady basis in psychoanalytic practice.
I am in agreement with this policy and intend to continue along the same lines: However, the quality of a journal does not surpass the quality of its contributions. Therefore, it is my hope that the editorial board in the years to come will be burdened by a steady flow of good papers.
