As our readers know, the editorial board of the Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review consists of four members, one from each of the Nordic psychoanalytic societies. In the course of 1996, two members have left the board, Antti Kumento, Finnish co-editor since 1989 and Jill Hoffmann, Swedish co-editor since 1993/94. It is my pleasure to express the gratitude of the Scandinavian Psychoanalytical Societies for their good work, their thoughtful and concise comments on manuscripts, and their dedication to our task. I also want to express my appreciation for the way in which both have contributed to developing the publication policy of the Review and to the inspiring and pleasant atmosphere in the editorial team during these years.

The new co-editors are Christel Airas from Helsingfors who already has joined the board, and Karin Michal from Stockholm, who will start her editorship with the next issue.
