According to the rules for The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review, “the office of Chief Editor ought to be assigned to the Scandinavian countries by rotation”. So far, Sweden has had two terms; Bo Larson edited the first two volumes, 1978”79, and Lis Lind the four from 1989 through 1992. Henning Paikin, Copenhagen, was responsible for the 9 volumes in between, from 1980 through 1988. For the last five volumes, from 1993, the editorship has been Norwegian, and now the time has come for Finland to take responsibility. With this issue, I complete my term as editor and pass the office to Henrik Enckell, Helsinki. He joined the board as co-editor a year ago and will be in charge as editor-in-chief from February 1998.
