With this issue, The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review announces the celebration of its 25th anniversary.
We hope, and believe, that the contents of this issue bear witness to the vitality of Nordic psychoanalysis. With pride, we are able to present two papers containing fundamental statements on the method of psychoanalysis; these are written by the established authors Pentti Ikonen and Tomas Böhm. We are also happy to be able to present three papers by authors who make their debut in this scientific forum: Leena Linna, Annika Hirdman Künstlicher and Raimo Hyttinen bear witness to the growth of psychoanalysts ready and able to present their findings in a scientific journal. In the section Reports and Brief Communications, Birgitta Ejve generously reflects on her rich experience in psychoanalytic praxis. The issue opens up with an essay on the history of the journal, written to celebrate its anniversary.
With this issue, the Editorial Board is complemented by a new member. Susanne Lunn from the Danish Psychoanalytic Society is warmly welcomed by the rest of the Board.
