Since its second volume, The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review has been published by the Danish publisher Munksgaard, which from 2001 became the English company, Blackwell-Munksgaard. With this issue, we must say goodbye to our publisher of nearly 25 years and our printer P. J. Schmidt. The Editorial Board wishes to thank all those involved for their deeply appreciated, longstanding and flexible collaboration.
In spite of the good experiences during these years, several practical, and first and foremost financial circumstances, led to this decision to change.
Our new publisher from next year will be Syddansk Universitets Forlag (University Press of Southern Denmark). This will not imply any changes for subscribers. We are very happy that our language and technical editor, Dr. Keith Jones, will continue to work with the journal.
The content of the present issue bears witness to the multiplicity of psychoanalysis. Six original papers are presented, covering areas as different as the development of psychoanalytic concepts, psychopathology, neuroscientific research, reflections on psychoanalytic education, research on the suitability to psychoanalysis, and applied psychoanalysis, focussing on the life and work of a distinguished poet. The section Reports and Brief Communications contains psychoanalytic reflections on a film and an ongoing discussion on an earlier paper.
We are happy to be able to present such a diversity and richness among Scandinavian psychoanalysts.
In recent years, the influx of papers has increased. This positive trend is most welcome and we hope that the growing inclination among Nordic psychoanalysts to write and publish psychoanalytic experiences in all their aspects will continue. However, with the increase of submitted manuscripts may also follow a longer interval between submission of a paper and final publication.
The Editorial Board wishes to thank the following persons who have participated in the time-consuming task of reviewing submitted pape
