The Newsletter invites letters from its readers on any matter connected with the affairs of the American Psychoanalytic Association. We feel it necessary at the same time to establish a few ground rules regarding “Letters to the Editor”:
Because of obvious space limitations, letters will have to be brief. We may excerpt letters that are too long to be printed in full.
Space limitations may also make it impossible to print all letters received; the Editors will have to exercise their discretion as to which to print and which to omit.
In general the Editors must reserve the right to decline letters which in their judgement do not merit publication.
Unsigned letters cannot be published.
Aside from these necessary limitations, it is our intention to make the “letters” section a free forum for the expression of opinions on matters psychoanalytic.
