The Committee on Social Problems, under its new Chairman, Dr. Robert M. Dorn, will meet in October to consider reactions of the Affiliated Societies to the proposed “Statement on Community Psychiatry.” (Newsletter, Jan., 1967). At the time of the meeting of the Executive Council, on May 4, not enough responses had been received to warrant a discussion of any modifications of the statement. The Council heard a proposal from the Westchester Society for the appointment of a Standing Committee on Community Mental Health, but it was agreed that this proposal should be referred back to the Social Problems Committee for consideration along with other Societies' responses.
