The Executive Committee of the Association has voted to postpone the mail ballot on the proposed By-Law amendment that would create a category of “Special Member” for certain non-medical Training and Supervising Analysts. The mail ballot had been authorized after the Executive Council approved the amendment at its May meeting.

The decision to defer the mail ballot was taken after the Executive Committee had received communications from a number of Societies urging postponement. These Societies felt that there had not been adequate opportunity for discussion of the issue at the local level. The proposed amendment will accordingly be placed on the agenda of the Executive Council for renewed discussion at its December meeting.
