Two outstanding psychoanalytic educators, Dr. Francis McLaughlin, of Baltimore, and Dr. Albert Solnit, of New Haven, lead the slate of candidates for office nominated by the Executive Council at the Association's Annual Meeting in Boston. Details of the qualifications of candidates will be distributed with mail ballots in November, and results of the election will be announced at the December meeting of members.
Drs. McLaughlin and Solnit are the candidates for the office of President-Elect. Dr. Burness E. Moore, of New York, is the sole nominee for Secretary. Dr. James F. Bing, of Baltimore, and Dr. Edward D. Joseph of New York (the incumbent Treasurer), were nominated for Treasurer. Dr. Stanley Goodman, of Berkeley, California, and Dr. Mark Kanzer, of New York, are the candidates for the office of Councilor-at-Large.
The Executive Council at the same time elected Drs. Stanley Goodman, Hans Loewald, Seymour Lustman and Robert Wallerstein to the Editorial Board of the Journal.
At the Annual Meeting of Members, Dr. Samuel Ritvo took over as President and Dr. Royden Astley began his term as President-Elect.
