During its short existence, the Newsletter has heretofore managed to avoid making serious factual errors. In reporting the Rome Congress of the International Psycho-Analytical Association (issue of September, 1969), however, we seem to have run into a remarkable (and quite inexplicable) series of mistakes. The names of a number of officers of the I. P. A. were omitted, and one officer, correctly titled in the text of the story, was given the wrong title in the caption of a photograph. Worst of all, we made the unpardonable error of misidentifying an attractive lady who appeared in one of the photographs taken at the Congress, and, to add insult to injury, failed altogether to identify that lady's husband.
The Newsletter extends its sincere regrets and apologies to all those whom we may have neglected or offended by this series of gaffes.
To make such amends as may be possible, we are printing herewith the roster of the current officers of the International Psychoanalytical Association. Below we are reproducing the photograph of a group of people at the Villa Giulia with all those who appear in the photograph correctly identified.
