To the Editors:
Because of the great surge in research in both the fields of Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis during recent years it would seem to me helpful if I made available my Index of Psychoanalytic Concepts commenced in 1940 and now reaching the dimensions of 32 volumes. Hundreds of members in the past 36 years have consulted it on basic concepts of psychoanalysis or on rareties in psychoanalytic practice. I shall be very happy to provide page references from over 150,000 pages of Psychoanalytic Literature, at the preinflation cost of 10 cents a reference, and in the case of rareties, one half a plumber's fee per hour. It will be of interest to compare the volume of material made available with computerized abstracts that are now in vogue.
Thanking you for giving me this opportunity to be of assistance to those in the field interested in working on the basic principles, concepts and practices of psychoanalysis.
