To the Editor:
I want to respond to a matter involving the June, 1980 issue of the Newsletter, one involving a misleading headline.
On page six, the announcement of those certified by the Board last April was headlined New Members. As the reader could gather from the footnotes, there were almost all newly certified old (that is former Associate, or currently Active) members. I would hope that in the future such announcements would be headlined “Certified Members,” or something in that more accurate direction. This is, of course, a very minor criticism, but as Chairman of the Membership Committee I am very sensitive to even the unconscious implication that Associate Members are not members of our organization.
Otherwise, I do enjoy the Newsletter, and I congratulate you and your staff on your fine work.
