After acceptance by the Editorial Board of the Journal, a policy concerning works to be published with the imprimatur of the American Psychoanalytic Association was approved at the Executive Committee last October. Confirmed by the Executive Council in December, the policy reads as follows:
Publication decisions will be made by the Executive Committee.
Works submitted for publication will be reviewed by the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association, which will serve as an Ad Hoc Editorial Review Committee for the Executive Committee.
The Association has first refusal rights on all works produced under the aegis of any committees of the Association.
Royalties on all works published with the imprimatur of the Association belong solely to the Association.
