The newly established Anne P. Lederer Research Institute has announced as one of its stated purposes the promotion and support of research in psychoanalysis. In addition, it intends to award non-scholarship and non-fellowship grants to individuals for the purpose of enhancing a skill, capacity, or talent of the recipient relating to psychoanalysis.
Scholarships and fellowships are expected to be awarded as one-year grants, ranging in amount from $3,000 to $10,000. They will be paid directly to the institution at which the recipient will be enrolled. According to consultant for the Institute, Dr. George H. Pollock, such funds could be used to defray not only expenses for tuition, books, supplies, etc., but also the cost of personal training analysis.
