The 33rd IPA Congress will be held in Madrid, July 25-29, 1983. The provisional theme for the Congress is “The Psychoanalyst at Work,” featuring presentations from the analyses of adults, children, and adolescents that would illustrate the interplay in the psychoanalytic process.

Inquiries regarding travel and accommodation only should be addressed to The Cortell Group, 3 East 54th Street, New York, NY 10022. All other inquiries should be addressed to Professor Joseph Sandler, The Sigmund Freud Center, Hebrew University, Mount Scopus, 91905, Jerusalem, Israel.
Cornelis Heijn, Jr., M.D. was appointed as Training Analyst at the Psychoanalytic Institute of New England East at the December 1981 meetings. The Newsletter regrets the inadvertent omission of his name from a list published in an earlier issue.
The Psychoanalytic Forum will meet during this year's New York meetings on Thursday, December 16, at 2:00 p.m. The speaker will be Dr. Leo Stone, whose presentation is entitled “Thoughts on Certain Fundamental Aspects of Transference.” Dr. Marvin D. Wasserman will act as Moderator. While the Forum is open to all members, Affiliate and Associate Members are especially invited to participate.
The Committee on Associate and Affiliate Membership wishes to remind the candidates and recent graduate members of the Association that, as a standing committee of both the Executive Council and Board on Professional Standards, it focuses on issues of general concern to candidates and recent graduates (who constitute 41% of the total membership). Equally important, however, is its role in exploring specific problems of individual candidates or graduates. Candidates and recent graduates are therefore encouraged to contact this Committee with any questions or concerns they wish the Committee to address.
