The American Psychoanalytic Association, an organization of 3,000 psychoanalysts, voted at a meeting of its Executive Council to support efforts to obtain freedom for Dr. Anatoly Koryagin. We join the many individuals and organizations in the world who have expressed concern about Dr. Koryagin's plight.

An esteemed colleague, Dr. Koryagm upheld the ethics of the psychiatric profession and has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards and recognitions. We respectfully request that you use your good offices to look into this situation and we hope that Dr. Koryagin can soon obtain release from prison.
