Thirteen new applications and three re-applications for waiver for full psychoanalytic training were received by the CNMCT at the December 1988 meeting. Dr. Carl Davis, Chairman of the Committee, requested that of that number, seven be approved by the Board. He noted that over the two years the Committee has been functioning, 82 applications and 10 re-applications had been reviewed, with 51 waivers having already been granted. With the Board's approval of the seven newly-recommended individuals, a total of 58 people have been given waivers. Dr. Davis, who has chaired the committee since its inception, is now stepping down, to be succeeded by John MacLeod. It was generally agreed that Dr. Davis, along with his committee, has performed exemplarally, and that Dr. MacLeod is an excellent choice for his replacement.
