On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Fund, I want to thank all the members for their valuable support of the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research in the form of their voluntary contributions with their dues payments.
This support is especially important at this time for at least two reasons. First other sources for support of research are becoming even scarcer just as there seems to be greater interest and activity in research in psychoanalysis both among analysts and among well-trained workers in allied fields. Second. at the Fund we have tried to provide important encouragement and seed money for research projects in their early stages and for investigators of promise. We will be reporting on the results of some of these projects in the Newsletter, so that all members will have a fuller picture of what has been accomplished.
Meanwhile, we all join in hoping that members will continue to support this vital function for the future growth of psychoanalysis both clinically and scientifically.
