I want to take this opportunity to tell you what a superb job I think you and your editorial staff have done with The American Psychoanalyst. You not only have transformed a rather quiet, conservative house organ into a lively, colorful, and informative newsletter that actually makes readable the various administrative, scientific, and educational activities of the American Psychoanalytic Association. You have also created something on the order of a journal of the history of psychoanalysis in various centers in this country and around the world. And not being content just to focus more sharply on the past and the present, you have in addition given us a window into the future through the President's Column and the position statements of the various candidates nominated for national office.
Bravo to you, and all of those in the Central Office and on the Executive Committee who have allowed you the freedom and have given you the support to make TAP possible.
