Major planning is complete for what promises to be one of the largest and most pleasurable IPA Congresses in history. Scheduled for July 30 through August 4, the Congress will be held in the beautiful Marriott Hotel in San Francisco, just across the street from the new Yerba Buena Gardens. Accommodations at the Marriott are still available.
Those who have not yet made arrangements should act quickly if they wish to enjoy the sightseeing tours and social and cultural events planned for the IPA's stay in America's favorite convention city. An opportunity to take in the many splendid sights of the Bay Area and beyond, two film events, and a convivial restaurant evening during the Congress week will be climaxed by a farewell dinner dance at the newly opened San Francisco Museum of Modem Art. Docent-led tours will be available that evening. Seating for the event is limited, so reservations should be made immediately. Subscriptions for other activities are also rapidly being filled. A special post-Congress film event planned for Los Angeles is already heavily subscribed.
The pre-Congress for training analysts will be held Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, and IPSO meetings for candidates will be held Saturday, July 29, Sunday, July 30, and Wednesday, August 2.
The scientific theme for the Congress is Psychic Reality: Its Impact on the Analyst and the Patient Today, and a stimulating program has been arranged. Expectations are that IPAC '95, the second IPA Congress to be held in the U.S., will be a truly memorable gathering.
