This may not be the only letter of dismay [from one who] read an article [by Sheldon Roth] about “La Vielle Russie” instead of La Vieille Russie. The error is repeated in the article itself, i.e., it is not a misprint, which I stopped reading to verify in a paperback French-English dictionary.
A few years ago, when I moved my office to my home, I donated almost my entire psychoanalytic library, including JAPA from its beginning, to the Russian institutes. I kept the entire Freud edition in English and in German and am now wondering if I should contribute the English version to the new candidates who seem to encounter its unavailability, as mentioned in the same TAR
