When Bill Jeffrey stepped down as editor of TAP, Arnie Richards summed it up perfectly, describing him as a master of understated presence. Lee Jaffe, who wrote the first affiliates' columns — a regular feature begun under Jeffrey's tenure — described Bill as welcoming and open: “One of the easiest people I've ever worked with.”
Jeffrey, who completed his six-year term as editor of the newsletter in May, was awarded the Association's second Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Meeting on May 11.
President Bob Pyles touted Jeffrey as editing TAP with great imagination and intelligence. “His focus on the many and wide outreach efforts by individual members and groups has served as an inspiration for others to engage in such activities and has changed the way the Association views itself.”
Jeffrey will continue to help TAP by serving as a consultant.
