On May 2 in New Orleans, our members — the best voices to convey our messages — will get some marketing practice in the form of strategic communication training. Essential elements of the workshop:
A briefing on the APSA strategic marketing process from Glenn Good, who chairs the project, and consultant Lee Zacharias.
Information on our referral sources from the practice survey — what our members told us, in the recent practice survey, about where their patients come from.
Tips on how to contact our referral sources and the public.
Opportunities to practice delivery of our messages both in print and through face-to-face and electronic interviews.
APSA public relations consultant Dottie Jeffries and Mark Smaller, co-chair of the Committee on Public Information, will share their expertise during the workshop. Media trainers from the New Orleans area will assist workshop participants in honing their skills.
Participants should contact Carolyn Gatto at the APsaA Central Office to pre-register (). The strategic marketing effort is supported by our membership and by a grant from the American Psychoanalytic Foundation.
