Een praktijkvoorbeeld illustreert hoe een gefixeerd rouwproces door middel van psychoanalytische psychotherapie alsnog in beweging wordt gebracht. Dit leidt tot grotere vitaliteit en nieuwe interesses. Tevens wordt ingegaan op enkele theoretische aspecten van pathologische rouw.
