Transformations in Corona
The coronavirus crisis has had an immense impact on the therapeutic processes experienced by our patients and on the therapeutic frame of our psychotherapeutic ward. This article discusses these drastic transformations through experiences of the multidisciplinary team. We attempt to answer the question whether this crisis, as a state of exception, could show aspects of the frame which would otherwise remain obscure. The resulting article describes the impact of the crisis and distils three movements: à la guerre comme à la guerre!, perpetuum mobile, and linking tensions. This leads to the surprising conclusion that despite the destruction of the frame, a process can still develop. We finally argue that this implies a vital and vitalising aspect of the frame that emerges from shared and embodied thinking.
