Collaborative work in organisations: a psychoanalytical view of the inevitable pressure

This paper discusses problems arising in an organisation through the impact of external turbulence upon its internal organisational dynamics. The structure of the paper is designed to illustrate some of Wilfred Bion's concepts regarding the understanding of this psychoanalytic approach to organisational consultancy. The fundamental idea is of the functional inseparability of the individual patient and the group, i.e. the clinician and the clinical team, into which the latter is referred.
