Dear Professor,
In the course of tomorrow a Frau Marton from Tapolcza (Hungary) will look you up. I examined her several days ago and diagnosed a still rather fresh paranoia with a predilection for delusions of jealousy. A rather lengthy conversation convinced me that the patient is still capable of transference, and I believe that this is a case where one could attempt analysis with some prospect of success. But before I made a decision about this I wanted to know your opinion and had the patient travel to Vienna. The treatment must—in my opinion—be carried out in an institution. Or do you think institutionalization can be dispensed with?
