Budapest, October 16, 1909
Dear Professor,
The lecture on dreams is over. The picture of the auditorium as usual. The hall packed, outwardly great success, two insignificant, banal, in fact, stupid “protests” against what was said—which I was easily able to make look ridiculous. I then had the laughers on my side.—
Inwardly I obviously aroused much resistance, which won't be palpable until later.
Cordially,
Dr. Ferenczi
I would like to find a place for the German translation of the dream lecture1 Could you help me with this? (Perhaps to get it into a neurological journal?)
The lecture, “On the Psychological Analysis of Dreams” (1909, 66; C, p. 94), was published in Hungarian in Orvosi Hetilap [Medical Weekly] 44-45 (1909], and in German under the title “Die Psychologische Analyse der Träume” in Psychiatrisch-Neurologische Wochenschrift 12 (1910]: 102-107, 114-117, 125-127.
