Budapest, January 14, 1910
Dear Professor,
This time also no reply to your dear letter—only the inquiry as to whether you will reflect upon one of the two (or both) little figurines which were unearthed near Nagybecskerek.1 The dealer is asking twenty-two
crowns for the Hermes and twenty-eight crowns for the primitive Cupid. In case you can't use the figurines, please return them as soon as possible and at this opportunity please indicate whether or not I am burdening you unnecessarily with such requests.
Cordial greetings to the entire family and to colleague Binswanger and his wife.
Your devoted
Ferenczi
The dealer is prepared to take back the figurines in the event that an expert declares them fake.—
Grossbetschkerek; now Zrenjanin, in the Vojvodina, about forty miles north of Belgrade.
