Dear friend,
These are the final arrangements: if you travel in such a way as to arrive in Leyden (or The Hague) in the evening, then I can't meet you there, for we wouldn't get back to Noordwijk until half past 12 in the morning. So stay overnight in Leyden, Hotel Lion d'or, and come over on Sunday on one of the early trains (steam train 52 mins.).
I consider smoking jacket and tailcoat to be out of the question and take them to be an American reminiscence of yours.
You will find Baedeker's Holland here, but better yet, you bring it along.
