Vienna, November 23, 1910
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
Here is the address in Munich:
Frau Arnold, Klenzestrasse 15.
As regards paranoia, it would be better for you to make yourself independent of me. Up to now I have completed the first chapter of the work on Schreber (twenty-four pages) and would like to be finished by January, but I don't think it will work because I am struggling with time and energy, and, in addition, I am getting terribly angry with Adler and Stekel. I had been hoping that it would come to some kind of clean separation, but things are getting reconciled again, so I have to go on slaving away with them despite my belief that nothing can be done with them. The others are also not gratifying. Bleuler's reply is still not forthcoming, as is also the decision as to whether I will go to Zurich over Christmas.
I tell you, it was often nicer when I was alone. Excuse my poor and meager letters under these circumstances.
Kind regards,
Freud
