Budapest, April 11, [1911]
VII., Erzsébet-körút 54
Dear Professor,
I don't have to earn so terribly much money as you; for that reason I am starting my Easter vacation already on Wednesday afternoon and am leaving here on Thursday afternoon, in any case. If you are likewise leaving on Thursday, then I ask you to let me know by telegram (telegraphic communication would be desirable in any event). I am thinking of getting off in Villach, spending Friday there, and getting on your train on Saturday morning at 5:11.
But if you should decide to leave on Thursday, then I will go to Vienna on Thursday afternoon and we will make the entire trip together.—I can reserve a sleeping compartment here.
Third possibility: You leave Thursday, I catch up with you in Marburg (1:33), but leave you in peace until Villach (5:11 o'clock).1
The second travel plan would be the most convenient for me; it costs me only two hours more than the direct route from here to Bolzano; there is also no sleeping car direct from here to Bolzano, which I can hardly do without, however.
It is even possible for me to take a detour by way of Vienna, even if I am traveling alone.
I will leave all this up in the air until I receive news from you by telegram. If there is still time, then I will reply to your telegram.2
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
