Dear Professor,
It is also gradually getting to be summer here. Many patients are staying away, and if I were not bound by official duties, I would follow their example and go on vacation. But as things are, I will wait until August 1. It's hard for me to do, since I am already quite tired.
In this mood the publication of the third edition of the “Interpretation of Dreams” had an electrifying effect on me. I am very, very thankful to you for that. A cursory inspection already reveals the presence of a rich accrual, as well as the conscientious collaboration of our Rank.
I already have a publisher for the “Five Lectures”1 in Hungarian and for a second volume of “Lélekelemzés.”2 He is not disinclined to publish more of your works by and by. In two years a small “Freud Library” will have been published.
The lady (Pollatschek the elder), who is now doing psychoanalysis with Bircher and to whom I promised your “Everyday Life”3 in Russian, is now requesting what was promised. But I forgot to take it along from your place. Would you be so kind as to send it to her? She is now called Frau L. Polányi4 and is living in Bircher's sanatorium “Living Force.”
