Vienna, October 5, 1911
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
I don't want to make my reply to your letter dependent on Dr. Spitz's appearance, and I thank you for your greeting in the opening, which I return.
Your lymphangiitis corresponds to my periostitis,1 which is now abating. In its place I have caught a horrible cold in Vienna.
Nothing much is happening. I am working with five patients; most resumptions have been scheduled for a later date.
The publication of the new journal by Deuticke has been assured. Next Wednesday is the first session of the Society and the attempt to force out the Adler gang.
Ernst returned from Lake Garda this morning, nicely recovered. A new family doctor will take care of both patients. Oli gives the impression of being content.
A new periodical for “pathopsychology,” which has behaved ambiguously in its foreword, is offering by letter to be a confederate (Specht2 in Munich).
In anticipation of everything that this year will bring, I am
Cordially yours,
