Dear friend,
Yesterday I turned loose the lecture on taboo.1 The reading took three hours and caused several deaths.
On the same day I was surprised by the nice shipment of glass, which gives me an opportunity to thank Frau G. kindly for her interest and effort. Unfortunately I don't know how much I owe for it. By way of an apology I am enclosing your ambiguous coupon.2
Today I received a funny collection of typographical errors from a docent in physics3 who confesses to having been produced by Maeder.
I also want to tell you that we will very probably be able to put your beautiful essay on Oedipus in issue three of Imago,4 if it gets into the hands of the editors very soon.
Kind regards from your at present tired
