[Budapest,] November 5, 19121
Dear Professor,
Illness and work [have proved to be?]2 incompatible. I had to go [to] bed—I hope not for a long time. Diagnosis rather unclear. Slight increases in temperature (morning 36.9, afternoon 37.1). I am firmly resolved to get well and to collaborate diligently; I would not like to give up the editorship! Elma will probably soon come to see you. Please make it clear to her that it is actually her wish to get married and that she wants to do it (neurotically) in the form of a sacrificial act.
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
