Dear Professor,
I have finally succeeded in locating the source of the infection in the right Cowper's gland.2 The one-day's bed rest has lowered the temperature almost to normal. Subjective state good. There is hope that I will recover in a few days and will be able to begin to realize my work plans. Secondary gain of the illness: analysis showed no trace of albumin in the urine, so that with me it is possibly only a case of “orthostatic” albuminuria.—
I wrote to Jones along the lines suggested by you3 and told him about Stekel's resignation and the crisis of the Zentralblatt.
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
Postcard.
The Cowper's glands are two pea-sized glands under the tip of the prostate, the secretions of which are mixed with the semen.
A letter from Freud seems to be missing.
