Vienna, November 7, 1912
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
Very happy to be enlightened about your malady. I also believe you will soon be restored to health, and I see that one ought to be mistrustful toward your chronic illnesses.
Still no answer from Berlin (hardly possible); meanwhile, arguing with Deuticke, who is making difficulties as usual, but we ought to be able to get him.
Very kind offer from Abraham; he wants to take over the editorship with or without you, or step aside in favor of you. In brief, the way it should be among respectable people. From Seif, who had already been approached by Stekel, unconditional acceptance, along with his sending in Stekel's letter.
Tomorrow evening a little supper at our house in honor of Rank, who has his examination behind him and is therefore virtually a Ph.D.
I am very well, but I don't get to work because of business and practice.
Elma is coming tomorrow, isn't she? I now have office hours only on Mo., Wed., Fri.
Kind regards in your convalescence.
Yours,
