Vienna, November 14, 1912
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend
Finally! The journal will be called:
Internationale Zeitschrift
für
ärztliche Psychoanalyse
Publisher, Heller in Vienna, editors, Ferenczi and Rank. It is supposed to come out for the first time on January 15, 1913, bimonthly from then on, but in total size it will approximate one volume of the Zentralblatt. Some of the manuscripts for the first issue have been prepared, some (Jones, Seif)1 have yet to be received. We have lured away as many as we could from Stekel. Agreements to move came from all sides; the only reservation came from Silberer.
Heller has promised to get a new, reliable printer. He will produce a package deal with Imago whereby he will allow subscriptions to both journals together for 25 marks. Rank will handle relations with the publisher and the Vienna Society. The scientific direction will be yours. We would like, of course, for you to be already represented in no. i with a significant contribution, perhaps with your study of Jung's paper?
In the next few days we will also ask you to visit Vienna for the formal takeover and for straightening out all details. This Sunday will still be too early. Heller will not yet have a printer by then. But next week he certainly will, and before Sunday; time is pressing.
Jung is back and has sent the enclosed letter.2 He is so-so, but in any case makes continuing relations possible. I am sorry that I am not in the habit of copying my replies like a businessman.
