Dear Professor,
I can't write in my own hand2 because I am lying here, sometimes with chattering teeth, sometimes feverish.—The influenza that is tormenting me started the day before yesterday—I hope it will not last much longer.—I received the enclosed letter3 from Jung yesterday. I can edit a reply to him commensurate with your possible suggestions. I hope I will soon be able to bring better news about myself. What was that again about the adopted children?
Cordially yours,
Ferenczi
Kind regards from Frau G.
January 31, [1913]
The day, without location or year (which can be inferred from the context), is given at the end of the letter.
The letter is entirely in Gizella Pálos's handwriting.
