Internationale Zeitschrift für Arztliche Psychoanalyse
Budapest, February 15, 1913
Dear Professor,
Thanks for the acknowledgment. I was not quite sure whether you would like the paper.
Of course I meant the “content” of neurosis as you did (kinds of erotism). Regarding the associative connection between stages of development of the ego and of sexuality, I know that it is very loose and subject to displacement. I meant only that this connection takes place between the stage of the ego that prevails in fixation—and the stages of the libido.—I have corrected the ambiguous passages.
Here is a letter from Jung and my reply to it.1 I can, of course, alter it as you wish.—
At the same time I am sending you a brief communication2 for the Zeitschrift, about which I have absolutely no idea whether it is worth the printer's ink. Please don't hesitate to express yourself quite freely about it.
My condition is still variable. I still tire very easily and see that I am in need of recuperation.
Cordially,
Ferenczi
